After my mental and physical breakdown in Vietnam i am back among the
living. Haha, it wasnt that bad, but i really struggled with motivation. But
that thing came back the moment i got back to Thailand. Not exactly, Koh Samui
was kinda boring, but after that i decided to spend some days on the well known
party island Koh Phangan in a party hostel. I was worried, because when u look
at those pictures online, it just looks like a huge messed up party place with
just drunk idiots.
But luckily it was not that busy at all. Its because it
is still kinda low season and there is no full moon party happening currently.
The perfect amount of people to get to know some of them on a deeper
level.
It wasnt long after check in when i met a bunch of people i would spend the next couple of days together.
First of all, i really like that hostel. Its called Phangan Arena. Most
importantly, it has a freaking football pitch in the back!!!
And a pool, a
volleyball court, a mini football pitch and a huge common area. Lot of
things to do, even when you are not into party.
On one of the first days i explored the island on a motorbike with my new
gang. We went to a waterfall and after that to a beautiful beach, watching an
amazing sunset.
I have to admit, after the past 8 months there are not many
things anymore that take my breath. Not because i have seen it all, no, god no,
but because the excitement is as good as gone. It is still super fun, but like
with all the other things, you get used to it. Its not as exciting anymore as it
is for the people, that are just here for holiday.
Still, the day was awesome.
The next days i spent the time at the pool, playing football and partyied a
little bit.
One cool thing was "The Challenge", which is basically a parkour
run in a kind of waterpark. That was super fun and reminds one of Ninja Warrior.
It is as fun as exhausting and actually really difficult.
After 5 days in
this hostel i decided to take things easy again and swam all the way to Koh Tao.
With my bags. On a boat. Without swimming.
Koh Tao is a well known
Diving and Snorkeling paradise so i expected a more quiet island than Koh
Phangan. Which turned out to be true. There is no partyhostel and people go
there for the diving experience.
So i enjoyed the tranquility for a couple
of days in a beautiful hotel next to the beach.
I even went snorkeling once
… for the first time in my life :D.
So. Now i am back at my partyhostel in Koh Phangan, i really like it here.
For another couple of days. Lets see what this is going to be like.
See
ya.
